PDA… The Thin Line Between Sweet and Awkward

I don't have anything against Public Displays of Affection as long as it's tasteful and you don't take it too far. I will occasionally kiss my boyfriend, hold his hand or discreetly pinch his butt ;) while in public. I will not, however; make out with him or hang all over him in public. I understand that sometimes people are so crazy in love they just can't help themselves. I'm glad that you're in love… YAY for you! I think it's really sweet seeing a very old couple holding hands, but I don't want to see a very old couple making out. The line between sweet and awkward is very thin.

There is a lady I work with whose boyfriend also works at the store. They have only been together for a year, so the newness is still there. They are so disgustingly affectionate in public. Sometimes I literally want to say "gag me with a spoon" while pretending to stick my finger down my throat. I DO have manners though so I keep these feelings locked up tight in my mind where it's safe. I used to go on breaks and lunch with her when I still smoked and sometimes we would run into him, and I would have to be subjected to this disgusting PDA. This is where it becomes awkward. What are you supposed to do in this situation? Do you:

(A) Walk away and give them their privacy (HELLO! THEY'RE IN PUBLIC!)

(B) Stand there and try not to look in their direction for fear of vomiting

(C) Tell them to get a room

On the bright side, I'm no longer really friends with this woman so I don't have to be in this predicament anymore. However, you never know when you're going to come upon people conducting PDA. Just remember, what happens in the bedroom should only happen in the bedroom… not in the world for everyone to see. Keep it classy folks!
